What is the Naib Tehsildar Exam?
The Naib Tehsildar exam is conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) to recruit officers for the Revenue Department. A Naib Tehsildar is responsible for revenue administration, land records maintenance, and governance at the tehsil level. It is a crucial position in the state's administrative framework.
Three Stages of Naib Tehsildar Exam
- Preliminary Examination: Objective type (Screening test)
- Mains Examination: Descriptive type (Merit ranking stage)
- Personality Test: Interview (Final selection stage)
Successful candidates join the Revenue Department as Class-II Gazetted Officers with powers to manage land records, revenue collection, and administrative functions at the tehsil level.

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Screening Test)

Preliminary exam marks are not added to the final merit.
